From the costum...This film IS sensational, I agree. From the costuming to the music and DAN STEVENS as the Beast, I was (still am!) enchanted by it. Since it's been eons since I saw the original, I should make a point of watching it before I grab this one on DVD. Either way, it's a beautiful example of what Disney can do with these classics; so far the live-action versions (BATB and <i>Cinderella</i>) haven't (for me) ruined their original, but rather given them more depth and layers. <br /><br />OH, and I too liked the animated staff!
