Today is Dr. Seuss's birthday! To celebrate I will be highlighting some of my favorite books by this wonderful children's author and to discuss more about attractions featuring the many characters Dr. Seuss has created. He has definitely captured many children's hearts with his books and there are even museums and theme park attractions that bring characters to life! Header from mommyhastowork.com.
Some of my favorite Dr. Seuss books include the following:
1. The Cat in the Hat
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
3. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
4. Hop On Pop
Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, MA and died on September 24, 1991. His pen name is commonly known as Dr. Seuss. He wrote many popular children's books and sold over 600 million copies with more than 20 language translations. March 2nd has been adopted as the annual date for National Read Across America Day.
Besides the fantastic book I've listed above, make sure to check out Dr. Seuss Museum and Sculpture Garden located in Springfield, MA. This museum and sculpture garden will be fun for the whole family to explore conceptual designs of Dr. Seuss. Over 30 bronze statues can be found on the grounds and you can even see a recreation of Dr. Seuss's studio! The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum will be open in June 2017 but the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden is currently open. As always, Dr. Seuss is promoting the joy in reading and nurturing literacy skills even after his death.

The great thing is that Seuss Landing is for all ages even though it's geared toward the little ones. It is very nostalgic.
